Sanctuary

The soaring timber arches and warm lantern light in our 1920s sanctuary in Midtown Memphis is a perfect place to exchange your vows. A long center aisle, stained glass, and excellent acoustics create a classic photo‑ready backdrop for weddings. Its elegant ambiance and picturesque surroundings provide a memorable backdrop for your ceremony with seating for up to 400 guests.

Prayer Chapel

For a smaller, more intimate wedding, the Prayer Chapel is a beautiful option. It can accommodate up to 15 guests seated. There is no sound or setup, just the simplicity of the chapel with the beauty of stained glass windows.

Courtyard Garden


For a simple, outdoor wedding we have the Courtyard Garden. It can accommodate up to 15 guests standing. There is no sound or setup, just the beauty of the garden.

Reception Hall

Celebrate your union in our versatile Reception Hall, accommodating up to 100 seated or 150 standing guests for your reception or rehearsal dinner. Its convenient location within the same building allows for a seamless transition from ceremony to celebration and includes access to our commercial kitchen for your caterer.

Walker Hall

For a wedding reception or rehearsal dinner with fewer than 60 people, Walker Hall is a great option. This is located down the stairs from the sanctuary and has its own prep kitchen.

  • Rental fees vary based on your specific needs. Sanctuary rental for a wedding ceremony and rehearsal starts at $1,250.

    Other spaces are available at hourly rates:
    -Reception Hall ($100/hour)
    -Prayer Chapel ($100/hour)
    -Courtyard Garden ($100/hour)
    -Walker Hall ($50/hour)
    -A sound technician is available for $150 if needed for the Sanctuary.
    -A Combo Package is available for $2000 and includes the Sanctuary, Sound Technician and Reception Hall.

  • Our primary wedding rental spaces are the Sanctuary for ceremonies and the Reception Hall for receptions or rehearsal dinners. Other spaces, such as the Prayer Chapel, Courtyard Garden, Walker Hall, and Parlor, may also be available for rent and are often utilized as getting-ready suites, for cocktail hours, or for smaller gatherings associated with your wedding day.

  • Capacities vary by space:
    -Sanctuary (400 guests)
    -Reception Hall (100 seated/150 standing)
    -Walker Hall (60 seated/80 standing)
    -Prayer Chapel (15 seated)
    -Courtyard Garden (15 standing)

  • Amenities include:
    -Access to our private parking lot (34 spaces) with additional street parking readily available nearby
    -Sound system support with a dedicated technician is available for a $150 fee
    -Use of our commercial kitchen is included with the Reception Hall rental for your licensed caterer (cleanup required)
    -Please inquire about specific needs like projector/screen or keyboard/piano use

  • Standard wedding rentals include up to 10 hours of access to the rented facilities on your event day, typically between 9 am and 10 pm (timing may vary for Sundays). This block covers vendor deliveries, setup, event time, and cleanup. Rehearsals are typically scheduled for up to 2 hours on a day prior to the wedding.

  • Yes, ordained Christ City pastors and elders are available to officiate weddings held both at our church and other venues. A $350 officiant fee applies. Please indicate your interest in using a Christ City officiant on the inquiry form.

  • To secure your date, a deposit of 50% of the total rental fee is required upon booking. The remaining balance and a separate $300 refundable damage deposit (contingent on the facility being left clean) are due 14 days prior to your event. Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event receive a full refund of the rental deposit; cancellations within 30 days receive a 50% refund.
